Tactics: Securing the Victory in Every Young Man's Battle

As a 27 single male I highly recommend this book. It is a great follow up to Every Young Man's Battle and HERO both by Stoeker and both I highly recommend as well. I think all of these books are great especially HERO. Tactics goes into how much our eyes influcence our thoughts during this battle and ways to shield them to make overcoming the battle a little easier. After reading this book you will realize just how much sensuality we come into contact with and how much that gets us guys going and also desensitized we have become wanting a better "high".

If your not a book reader...this could be the book for you. I say this because just after reading the first couple of sentences, you don't feel like you're reading anymore. Instead, you feel as though you are finally being understood. If there is some insight to make any sort of sense about why I feel and act the way I do, I want to know. I'm not one to enjoy having the wool pulled over my eyes so I must say I am quite a skeptical person, but when I started to read this book, I found that this book is about us (men) and it is for us and it is from us. God uses Fred to deliver a humble message of truth in the area of men's sexuality and incredible insight in why we feel what we feel, act the way we act, and how and why we are effected so greatly in the visual (our eyes) department. If you want to read a book that can set you straight in the area of men's battle with staying pure and lay a strong foundation based on knowledge and faith then don't waist anymore time. I recommend this book only to men who are serious about fully understand themselves and taking charge of their life. Like it or not, as men we are responsible for protecting and leading our families with spiritual authority. This book is such a helpful tool in our quest for being men of integrity.

I grew up with little to no guidance from my father, regarding sexual purity. I learned about sex through, my friends, my girlfriends, and on my own. I struggled with masturbation from about 15 to 24. I could not break the cycle, until I threw myself before the Lord. I was miraculously delivered a short time before I met my wife, (Good timing, huh?), but I have continued to have wandering eyes. I have read 1 or 2 of Fred's previous books and maybe half heartedly tried to bounce my eyes. I know that it has hindered my devotional time with the Lord. Since I have been reading "Tactics", I have made an effort to not look at other women, and it has been easier than I thought. Granted, old habits are hard to break. The part about being a "Peeping Tom" hit me right between the eyes. I am following Fred's example of how to praise and worship God. He has taught me more about devotional time than anybody else that I know. Thank you, Fred.

This is truly a wonderful book. Fred Stoeker is an excellent author! This book helped me to gain a relationship with God that I had never experienced before. Since reading it, I have begun to see God not only as God but also as a loving father. It was extremely encouraging and has been highly instrumental in my walk with the Lord. Come men, come women. Anyone who wants to gain a better understanding and relationship with a loving God should read this book.
