This novel is written in the first person as a quasi autobiography over the duration of a man's life. It has a well-structured plot and is one of the more enjoyable novels that I have read. It was the first novel by John Lawton that I have read and I have now purchased all of his work. I am currently working on "Black Out" which is also a good novel, quite different from "Sweet Sunday".
