Survival for Busy Women

A wonderful book that is suited to both the working and stay at home mom. There are hints and tips to cover all aspects of your life. The only negative aspect of this book is the strong Christian slant which I found a bit annoying. All in all, though it was pretty helpful. Chapter 6 - "What to do with all the paper" really helped me make sense of all the piles of paper and set up an easy and logical filing system. Chapter 7 "Making Time Your Friend" had quite a few time saving tips that I found easy to implement and that now save me over 2 hours a week. Chapter 8 "Total Mess To Total Rest" has great ideas for storage and for finding exactly where I stored something. It's great for those who need to store things such as decorations, seasonal clothing, extra dishes etc. There were several chapters that had nothing to do with time management or household organization per se but which any mom will find useful and helpful- "Child-Proof Safety In The Home" & "Family Conference Time" & "Babysitting Survival Guide" and more All in all a good book and well worth the money.

If you are someone who is not a natural organizer, or has alot on your plate, then this book would be great for you. There are many helpful tips and ideas. It really helped me out to get rid of things and make the home and daily activities more manageable and functionable. I think that almost anyone would benefit from reading it.

I thought that the product was exactly what was written. I recommend this seller and will use them again if possible. My mother really liked this book, it was christmas!

Mrs. Barnes does a wonderful job at delivering practical advice for women (and men!) to help them make the most of their time! At first, I was very skeptical about her writing - how could a career homemaker possibly know what a working mother goes through? Guess what? She does! I have only used a handful of tips from her book, and already I feel a lot more relaxed and have more time! My favorite tip is the 15 minute total-mess-to-total-rest routine. It's amazing how much one can accomplish by breaking chores into 15 minute intervals. The bible verses that she uses are helpful as well, but this is a great book without it (as a Christian, I am glad they are in there). I have ordered 3 more of her books, and I highly recommend this book for the woman (or man!) who wants to clear the clutter and chaos out of her (or his!) life!
