I've never had so much fruit in my life!

This deck is one of the most practical ways I've ever seen to get healthy...and enjoy it! I've been so excited ever since I got this deck to try a new one every day. The fact that each recipe is on a card proves very efficient: it is small enough to store in your kitchen without taking up space, and you can organize it so that your all your faves are right towards the front. The cards are catagorized to meet certain needs, and color coded. For example, there are recipes to boost you immune system, smoothies that are particularly suited for men and women, smoothies for kids and babies, etc. On the bottom of each card the nutrition values are broken down by gram (ie. how much protien, carbohydrate, etc. per serving) so you can be very intentional about your goals. Whether you're looking for a high protein breakfast , or something to help you relax and unwind at the end of the day, this deck allows you to get exactly what you want, when you want it. The cards themselves are thick and durable, and easy to wipe off if you get a little crazy. :)My advice for getting the most out of this deck is to be adventurous. These recipes use a wide variety of ingredients, which keeps it interesting. Many ingredients can be frozen overnight, and the advance preparation is convenient if you're pressed for time when you are actually ready to make your smoothie. The only downside I can see to this is that there's not a lot of room to be spontaneous. Because there are so many ingredients and the freshness of those ingredients is a factor, you need to plan out your shopping trips accordingly. I don't typically have apricot nectar around, for example, or tofu, so I need to put a little effort into it. But, it's well worth it. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed in this purchase.

Finally: A book of delicious smoothie recipes!

Being a bonafide smoothie addict, I can say that this is the best book of smoothie recipes I've ever run across. As a small size smoothie at the mall costs $2.25, this book pays for itself in no time at all and is worth every cent. I loved the breakdown of nutritional values which is very helpful for anyone watching their calorie intake. The variety is spectacular with inclusion of even vegetable recipes. If you're looking for a good change of pace in your diet, definitely try out these delicious recipes. You won't be disappointed!

This wonderful book is packed with delicious recipes that are good for you too. The book starts out with 10 tips to make your smoothie it's best. Then fruit and vegetable glossaries describe each fruit, its nutritional value and its health benefits. There is also a thorough explanation on fruit and vegetable preparation. Other ingredients used such as peanut butter and milk products as well as additives like wheat grass are also discussed in detail. A seasonal fruit chart and a brief overview of essential nutrients are nice bonusesThere are recipes for almost anything including energy, weight control, PMS, hot flashes, morning sickness, anemia, libido, bone building, stress and even some that boost your immune system when you get sick. There are also special sections for kids and men. Conveniently, each recipe contains complete nutritional information. My favorite recipes are the constants craving, grape escape and protein jolt. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to make quick, easy, nutritious meals without cooking.

I bought my blender last year and used it exactly once, before I bought this book, that is. Now with a whole collection of delicious and nutricious blender drinks to make, hardly a day goes by that the blender doesn't get a workout! The concept of smoothies is ideal for a single working person with little time to cook dinner because of long hours. And the best thing is it is healthy!
