I used two criteria to rate this book. The first is: did it clarify areas where I have weakness - yes, for me it did. Two - did I pass the exam -yes, I did. I consider myself to be an intermediate/advanced java programmer. I also purchased the author's Exam Cram. I felt I needed the more comprehensive Training Guide along with the Exam Cram. I also noticed that one of the editors works for Sun. I felt that added lots of credibility to this book. Since I used both books to pass, I would recommend getting both.
