My kids like this book--I think every child goes through a stage when they fantasize what the world would be like if it were made of something edible--chocolate mountains, cotton candy trees--you don't have to look farther than a Roald Dahl book to know that. I read somewhere that the author had the text come to him in a dream, which may explain the strain in a few of the rhymes. However, the drawings are very well done. I would recommend this for artistic kids and for parents who don't mind reading phrases like "gumball waterfall."
