Cassie Wagner is a young mom looking forward to the birth of her second baby when she starts experiencing some weird symptoms. After several scary episodes, she finally gets a devastating diagnosis - Meniere's disease, a disease of the inner ear which will eventually leave her deaf. Cassie is stunned and angry. Her struggles to cope with her new life become the focus of the book. I enjoyed this book and read it in about an hour. I hadn't heard anything about the author, just stumbled on the book at the library. I would recommend it to others and I wouldn't mind reading more by this same author. CMB
