Sam Edwards is slowly getting back on his feet since being the reason for Lauren, his sister, showing up on Harbor Island and her falling in love with Sam's partner, Zach. It has now been 3 years or so since his wife had been killed by a hit and run driver. Little Jase and Jenny are six and four and have gone through a number of care takers - ladies who for some reason or another have to leave them. T. J. Walker is a bit of a red-head raising her son, Andy after the man, Brad Colwood left when he found out she was pregnant, about 6 years ago. He wanted her to have an abortion. Real scum-bag. T. J. has issues of trust, not wanting to depend on anyone else to help her. She also helps any and all injured animals that need simple health care. Her mother, "Crystal" was of the flower child era and believed in doing ones own thing. Yet she was always there for T.J. Wonderful friends and characters. Then as Sam is looking for another child-care person, Brad shows up to cause T.J. uneasiness and worry. Will he try to snatch her child? She offers to watch Jase and Jenny for flight time for any really sick animals. Only trouble is the hormones are starting to kick in and cause complications. Very restrained. Well tempered emotional issues are delicately handled - both the grown-ups and the children. Wonderful follow-up story to Another Man's Children just not as intense. [that is my take, not necessarily true for others]. Very appropiate for "Life, Love & Family" type of tale. Definitely Recommend -m
