Susan Prospere's book of poetry is absolutely divine. She explores childhood (and adulthood) with unusual and vivid imagery, recalling things you might have forgotten about your own childhood such as shooting marbles, lightning bugs and "...small temptations/ in the minds of children." At once accessible and completely mysterious, these poems are as good as poetry gets. You walk away wishing you had written these lines. Many of the poems were published in The New Yorker and excellent literary journals. As an avid poetry reader, I highly recommend this slim volume of exquiste beauty.
