Stuck on an Island: Adventures of an American Couple in the Canadian Gulf Islands

I was given this book by a friend who knew the author and his wife and I have enjoyed reading it and I wish I could go to the Island to meet the wonderful characters. It says a lot that people from all over the world came to their island paradise and everyone had different backgrounds and they all became such good lifetime friends. A great read to get away and remind yourself how precious life is and how we should not take for granted the friendships we make along the way

"So you got stuck on the island, eh?" says the Beachcomber, a short man with straw-like hair and piercing eyes. Taken aback, the young American couple from Southern California wonders what he means. They are the new owners of a split-level house overlooking a picturesque, long harbour in the Canadian Gulf Islands.
