O'Reilly agrees great stuff

I recently saw the author on O'Reilly Factor and was very impressed with what he had to say, so I bought the book. I too am a former dancer and was interested in the perspective of a man who worked "inside" (for more years than I could ever last.) Couldn't put it down, the book is great fun to read. The author doesn't make himself out to be a hero, or all knowing, or even all good. What he does do, is take you for a ride through the club with his stories of events and his keen perceptions. You end up wanting to know more. A must read for any man wanting to understand dancers and the strip club business.

I enjoyed this book,I am a stripper..

I came across this book in the Vegas airport recently.I could'nt put it down.I like the way Brents mind works.I just started dancing at ,"Cheetah's in Vegas",the club he writes about.I was curious to know about the club I work at..Very interesting.

An eye opener

I found the author of this book to be very passionate about his experiences and feelings even showing a sensitive side towards the entertainers. He also was very curt, straight to the point and no sugar coating his words, participation and actions. Mr. Jordan just told his story even when it meant showing his role in the business, when at times it may not have been showing him in very good light. That added to my feelings that his story is real. This book took me thru a typical night, behind the scenes, in a strip club, via the eyes of someone who was there "hands on" minus the percieved glamour of it all. He even allowed an Entertainers point of view in one chapter which I thought was a nice extra to the book. I highly recommend the book for those that have an interest on this subject. This book was written in the midst of trials and investigations going on not only in his city but with individuals portrayed in the book. I wish him much success and even more peace.

Could it be true?

Its hard to find this book in Las Vegas right now. The author wrote a book that is not only true, but could make a great movie someday. (im sure hes already thought about that)Working in the same business and worked with him personally, I know every word is true and he does share a side with the reader that exposes a vegas most people dont know. The author makes it enjoyable and easy to read and get his point across. I also appreciated the fact that the author leaves you guessing if its a bunch of bull, or for those of us that sat in the vip room in the page 79 club, how funny and true the stories are. enjoy the book.

Sin City

It impressed me that the strip industry was the perfect anology for Las Vegas. All glitter and sparkle on the surface, hard-boiled and dark to the core. I always assumed that there was corruption, spiritual, political and of the flesh, but that it would always be tolerated as a natural by product of the American Dream and not talked about in polite company. Evidently, this author is rude. This book exposes readers to the other side of the coin, the one not presented by the poker shows and Discovery channel travelogues. Racism, gratuitous violence, ugly sex and political corruption. Some claims seem so outrageous that one could normally assume that the author was embellishing his narrative for shock effect, pandering to the consumer's prurient nature for sake of sales. In the next sentence he is naming real people, politicians and local color such as the flamboyant club owner Galardi who are currently under federal indictment and in the news. Turns out his titillating work is not an adult rated fairy tale but a contemporary true crime novel, his observations from the pit. If you are curious about what happens after A & E and The Discovery Channel stop the camera, this is a good book. A Las Vegas primer that the city elders won't be putting on their tourist web page.
