Strictly for Laughs

Ellen Conford's books aren't exactly problem stories--the kids described in them are usually white, middle-class, and from loving homes. But they're fun reads, and funny. A bit dated (the main character, Joey, compares herself to Rita Rudner, and the book cover has a very '70s-'80s look), but still sweet. I don't know what book the person who wrote the review "SADER THAN SAD" is referring to, as those aren't the names of the characters, but hey, everyone's a critic. I still love Ellen Conford's books and I'm out of college. They're just...nice. :)
