the scary award goes to... Strange Spirits of St. Ignace

Strange Spirits of St. Ignace is full of exciting, suspenseful, and cliffhanging moments that leave you on the edge of your seat. At the end of each chapter Jonathan Rand leaves you hanging so that you will keep on reading to the next chapter. The reasons I like this book is that the author makes these books for a little fear. So if you like to read scary stories, read Michigan and American Chillers. Something else about this book that I enjoy is that you never know if the rustle in the bushes is the good guy or the bad guy. The suspense is very well written. Some book series have a completely different story with different people who don't know each other. In all chiller books the characters from the book you're reading meets or visits the characters from the next book in the series. Also I enjoy how Jonathan lets the reader read a few chilling chapters of the next book. I've read almost every book and only need a few more to have read the whole collection. I recommend that you read these books!

Tim and his family are going on a camping trip but not any camping trip a camping trip up north that he will never forget. He gets lost with his sister and little brother they find six-toed bear tracks and decide to follow them, but they don't know that the bears tracks are a spirits tracks and that they could disappear. They never find the bear and decide to go back to camp but they can't find there tracks or the bear tracks. He finds out he is the King of Fire and has to battle with Avan-Dar and his bad spirits of the dark. He wins and the good spirits take over the wooded forest. This book is very good for the range of a 4th to 6th grader anyone shouldn't read it as it is to not lifelike this is why I recommend this to littler children and not adults, but if you are looking for a book with a lot of information about St. Ignace there is some but not much. This book is #6 in the series of "Michigan Chiller" books which is a series by Jonathon Rand. Rating-(1-5) 1- being good 5-very good I gave this book a 4.5 because I thought the ideas were good but some of the characters were very cheesy and not well described.
