(b) People purely curious about cosmetic surgery. The first few chapters describe medical training (e.g., board certification), health care environments (e.g., office vs. hospital), and patient qualifications (e.g., as healthy as possible). These chapters emphasize the importance of choosing an appropriate medical team. If the logic does not convince you, then the scary monochrome and color photographs will. The remaining chapters explain various treatments, such as face-lifting and liposuction. Questions such as: Will there be pain? Will my skin turn red, and if so, for how long? How much will it cost? are answered candidly. The book will help you become an informed patient, or a loved one of a patient.
