I got this book out of the library and am now purchasing one to add to my bookshelf. It is such a great resource for puppeteers, with load of practical information (and inspiration). For example, the section on "anything puppets" has one idea after another about ways to engage the imagination of children through games and storytelling using simple, faceless puppets that can be created by the children themselves. There are many many references to children's books and how to adapt them to stories. Although the book may have been written with the idea of using puppetry to bring children to literature, it stands strongly on its own as a book for the individual puppeteer working with children, offering many exciting ideas for paths to take in puppetry.
