Book Overview

From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Vince Flynn's Mitch Rapp Series Punished for his maverick ways, FBI agent Mark Beamon has been exiled from Washington, D.C., to a sleepy Southwest office where he's got one last chance to play by the rules. But that's not going to happen, not when he's on a case that may be too hot even for his unorthodox talents to handle. A local millionaire and his wife are brutally murdered. Jennifer, their teenage...

Better than Rising Phoenix

I liked Kyle's first book, Rising Phoenix, but it wasn't enough to put him on my personal 'A' list of authors. However, Storming Heaven is so good that he immediately jumped up towards the top.The characters are very compelling and are the strength of the story. This is definitely not one of those hollywood script style books like so many authors are putting out now. The characters and plot are thoroughly fleshed out and the detail is compelling. If you like your heros flawed then Kyle's Mark Beamon is for you. He has drinking and weight problems, plus he has a hard time getting along with his boss (or any 'authority figure'). Beamon is truly one of the most memorable protagonists I have seen in a long time.I highly recommend this book and think that if you enjoy real characters and good suspense you will enjoy it too.

Compelling!

This is one of the best books I've ever read. I couldn't put it down and finished in one day. Mr Mills definitely goes on my "favorite authors" list. He is one heck of a writer. I read his other novel "Rising Phoenix" which was also good, but not as good as "Storming Heaven". Get comfortable before you start reading "Storming Heaven", and be warned, you will not be able to put it down. I just loved all the good guys. They all contributed to a wonderful story. Mark Beamon is now another one of my fictional heroes. I can't wait to read "Free Fall". Keep up the good writing Mr Mills.

Absolutly Fantastic!

This book will take you from the first page to the last in a very short time. I could not put it down until I knew what happened. The story not only moves fast but piques your interest the whole way. The characters in this book were great! I just got this book expecting a decent read but I have come away mightily impressed. Everything you want is here. Great writing, characters that you enjoy(that is hard to find in lots of books now), and a story that you don't feel like rushing through but savoring. Too bad it all goes so fast but usually the best books do. Highly recommended!

"Storming Heaven" is a Storming Page-Turner!

Mr. Mills not only has his main character Mark Beamon battling against time to "solve his case," but also defiantly battling the politics of the agency for which he works at the same time. Mr. Mills cleverly weaves suspense, drama, humor, and a little romance together to come up with a heck of a page turner, which keeps you wondering who's on whose side! Can't wait for Mills' next book to come out.
