Book Overview

In this book, Dr. R.C. Sproul surveys the great work accomplished by Jesus Christ through His crucifixion -- the redemption of God's people. Dr. Sproul considers the atonement from numerous angles and shows conclusively that the cross was absolutely necessary if anyone was to be saved. Opening the Scriptures, Dr. Sproul shows that God Himself provided salvation by sending Jesus Christ to die on the cross, and the cross was always God's intended method by which to bring salvation. The Truth of the Cross is an uncompromising reminder that the atonement of Christ is an absolutely essential doctrine of the Christian faith, one that should be studied and understood by all believers.

"The Most momentous encounter in the history of humanity"

Two gods of science fiction - Arthur C. Clark, and ex-Director of NASA's Mars Viking Expeditions in 1977 Lee Gentry - have come together to write a novel of "the most momentous encounter in the history of the human race." With the help of a tip-off from a high ranked officer, respected photo-journalist Carol Dawson investigates a US Navy missile that has gone off course and into the Gulf of Mexico during a test run. This is the best book I have read in a long time!

This book is a must read if you love science fiction or if you love reading in general. If you like plot twists, comedy, and adventure you have it all in one book. I enjoyed this work and I am looking forward to reading some more of their work.

Generally I felt it was a fun, quick, interesting read.

Overall I don't think this is some amazing book, but it was a really fast, fun, and quick read. I must have read the book in 2 hours, and found it to be quite fun to get into the minds of the various characters of the book.

This book will cradle your interest to the very end.

The book has a great detail that leads to diffrent conections in the book. It has a great ending that is very unexspectedand gives you another perspective on alien life forms. The books climax is towards the end which gives it an unusal twist which makes it exciting. This book is definitely on my top ten list. The book has very few mistakes. It has to many details that are needed and the book would have went by a lot faster...

Excellent

I found this book to be enthralling. I had many other things to do but found myself completely absorbed by the characters and the story. I think the other reviewers are too into hardcore sci-fi to appreciate a good, well-rounded novel.
