Stories From Far Away

My brother and I listen to this tape a lot. It makes us laugh and it makes us think about people and things from different times and places. We learn about people and what is in their hearts. And their minds; things they tell other people and to their children. Lots of my friends know these stories and if they don't, I can tell them about them. We love the fools of Chelm. We like to give Joel ben Izzy tapes and CDs to our friends for presents. We like to get them too.

My eleven year old son received this as a Christmas gift and we are still hearing it in February! He told me that this guy is the kid's Dave Barry.

A fun collection of (mostly) Jewish folk tales told in an enthusiastic and entertaining manner. They are good enough that we sometimes sit in the car after we've arrived just to hear the end of a story. The stories are a little sophisticated, so this tape is not for the very youngest kids. Our kids are 6 and 8 and can handle him pretty well. I enjoy listening to the stories too.
