Granted, as one of the authors of this book, mine is not an entirely unbiased opinion, but the book really does allow readers to step back a bit from their own lives and see how other parents work through various situations and problems. We discuss money, children's careers, weddings, marriages, and serious problems faced by many of our children. We also address our own lives--divorce, widowhood, new romance, new careers. The book contains many examples and vignettes, putting the reader in touch with people in similar situations.
