This book has greatly helped my husband and myself to prevent gastric reflux. We use carrot juice (organic, and in moderation), DGL (De-Glycyrrhizinated Licorice) chewable tablets shortly before meals, Slippery-Elm throat lozenges, etc.Others I know have also been helped greatly by this wonderful book!We also use digestive enzymes, and pro-biotics (acidophilus/bifidus), etc.It's amazing how much USEFUL information is packed into this small book, that is very readable, and I get no commission for saying this!!My husband and I had Vocal Cord Dysfunction (VCD) attacks that were lessened by taking care of our sinus conditions, but we couldn't get the attacks to completely stop, until we addressed our gastric reflux, by using THIS BOOK'S IDEAS!!!Gastric reflux is so often treated with acid blockers, that have dangerous side effects, such as not digesting protein and calcium, and not being able to absorb Vitamin B12, leading to nerve damage (peripheral neuropathies!!).With the DGL, acid production is not stopped, but the cells are protected from the acid.
