The first thing you notice when you read this book was the elegant prose. Instantly, you are reminded of truly great authors like Garcia Marquez, Hemingway, and Flannery O'Connor. This book is truly the stock market's Citizen Kane. Once you move beyond the lush and textured yet subtle and graceful writing style, you find a veritable treasure trove of helpful hints. I find it rather impolitic to discuss how my portfolio is faring but I will mention that the information I gleaned from the Bernsteins was nothing short of revolutionary. This book is a true delight and I can't recommend it enough. It makes a great gift, also, for dads and grads.

For me having success in the past markets of the Internet age, that is no sure thing that I will be able to maintain my profitability for the upcoming years.However, Jakes book "stock market strategies that work" taught me the fundamentals to sound technical analysis (something that I wasn't using before). The book is very clear to understand and read, the visual tables and graphs are clear and easy to comprehend, and the book explains the methods to you using examples (which is the best). Not only that, but during my time with the book, I had some questions, and emailed Mr. Bernstein himself. Within hours I got a reply, and since then he has helped me out on numerous occasions. It is very rare to find a great book on investing, along with the author available for some more detailed explanations on his issues. Pick up this one either as to gain some new ideas and methods, or to even brush up your old techinical analysis skills.This book is definitely a winner. Great job Jake. Keep the good books coming.
