A Practical Resource

I love this book! I'm always looking for high quality writing resources. This book helped me to conceptualize expository writing and make it concrete for kids in both fourth grade and sixth. Although it has plenty of ready-to-use lessons and ideas, it is not simply a recipe book...the author skillfully addresses the whys of the five paragraph theme, "golden bricks", and organization strategies. Whether you're a new teacher or a seasoned veteran, you will find this book useful.
