Indian Cooking by Naomi Good is essential for the novice cook but the experts could learn from it as well. It begins with a brief history of Indian cooking and regional differences, along with a guideline on cooking equipment needed for most Indian dishes. It then lists common ingredients with their Indian names and a description. Then all the receipes are given along with a picture of what they would look like and suggestions for garnishes which I find very helpful. This book is small but the receipes are aplenty and the illustrations are beautiful!
