The medieval world was a distinctive one, rich in change and diversity. This book brings together these disparate worlds to show one medieval world, stretching from Connacht to Constantinople and from Tynemouth to Timbuktu. This set of reconstructions presents the reader with the future of the medieval past, offering appraisals of the evidence and modern historical writing. Articles are thematically linked in four sections, exploring identities in the medieval world; beliefs, social values and symbolic order; power and power-structures; and elites, organisations and groups. This set of views from multiple perspectives conveys the liveliness of current approaches to studies in the field.
This book is so inspiring, and filled with amazing stories, and artists showing all forms of the art of graffiti. It is informative on the use of stencils and other mediums artists used to get the effects they did for their work. It is a great book to have if you LOVE graffiti.. :)

I like this book. It's a thin book. It's not too much stuff in the book but I think it's a nice book to have in your collection just to have something different. Since I'm not too much into stencil graffiti, this book is just right to have it in my collection. I like it. It has great work of art in it.

Eye-catching expressions of spray-paint and stencil graffiti
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 22 years ago
Presented by graphic artist and director of Tijuana Design Tristan Manco (Bristol, United Kingdom), Stencil Graffiti is a vibrant artbook showcasing unique, original, sometimes provocative, always eye-catching expressions of spray-paint and stencil graffiti. Some introductory essays help familiarize the non-specialist general reader with various settings and graffiti artists, but the majority of this superbly presented book is given over to extensive photographs of the artwork itself. A few mature themes present themselves in this book filled cover to cover with unforgettable imagery. Stencil Graffiti is an enthusiastically recommended addition to art school and community library contemporary art history collections.
