Steck-Vaughn: Spelling

When I decided to homeschool my 3rd grader, I decided to use the same book the public school would be using. My child was already familiar with the format and I could be certain she would be keeping pace with her former classmates. The book gives 6 pages of exercises for each spelling list (36 of them - one for each week of the school year). They include fill in the blanks, alphabetical order, dictionary skills, writing and proofreading. Children become familiar with the words' correct spelling and usage. I would recommend this book to anyone who is homeschooling, or wants to aid their child in spelling.
