Ready or Not

It's difficult to put on a helmet, find your boots, and get your sword when the enemy has already started the attack. It's much wiser and helpful to be prepared, waiting and ready for the inevitable. That's exactly what Ray Pritchard's book helps any reader to do - understand the tactics of the enemy and ways to overcome Satan's messages and missiles. Understanding that discouragement is his basic strategy to disable me will change my response to it. Knowing that my prayers are part of God's defense plan motivates me to pray with that assurance. Continuing to sing the songs of victory through Jesus with those who have chosen to follow Him and His Word will keep all of us strong until He comes again. Read this book and find out some guidelines that will prepare you to win.

We are at WAR and our home is the FRONT LINE!!

It comes as no surprise to me that Dr. Ray Pritchard has written another great book. Once again he has presented God's Word in a clear & understandable way. This book applies the Bible prophecies to today's rapidly declining society. It comes at no better time with words we need to hear. It equips us with the strength, wisdom & armor of God; that we may fight the enemy, Satan. God's Word is alive & does apply as much today as it did when it was written. This book is a must have for all of us fighting for victory in every day life.

More Than Conquerors

We are in a war with the evil one and he doesn't fight fair. Using whatever means possible, Satan employs sinister stealth to divide and dishearten believers. This book not only identifies his tactics but also describes in great detail how we can overcome the adversary. After all, the devil has been defeated but he's not going down without a fight. This book will help you be aware that we are always at war. Challenging our spiritual complacency, Ray Pritchard urges us to raise our spiritual alert level, don our spiritual armor, and to walk in the victory that is ours.

a very helpful resource for Bible-believing Christians

I highly recommend this book to Bible-believing Christians as an interesting and enjoyable read and a valuable resource on how to respond to temptation more effectively. It has lots of helpful insights into what trips people up and specific strategies for resisting the temptations 'common to man'. One important goal of the book is to encourage Christians. Ray Pritchard points out how powerful discouragement can be and gives specific reasons for Christians not to be discouraged. He gives reasons based on the Bible why Christians need not fear Satan. He points out that the Bible never says it's a sin to be tempted. The issue is how you respond to the temptation. Ray Pritchard uses stories throughout the book (from the Bible, his life or the lives of others) to illustrate the points he makes. And he is wonderful at telling those stories with descriptive details that bring them to life and make them fun to read. I think it would be a great book to read and discuss in a small group setting. Then you could talk with your friends about what particularly trips you up, and share how the advice in the book is helping you respond better. You would probably get the most out of it that way.
