Vecsey delivers the definitive profile of the greatest hitter (yet most taken-for-granted star) in National League history: Stanley Frank Musial--otherwise known as Stan the Man. This description may be from another edition of this product.
Great insight into Stan The Man. He wasn't the most charismatic athlete but he lived a fascinating life. I liked the book, it appears others don't agree. I thought it was a worthwhile read. But I'm a fan of Mr. Vecsey. That could have swayed me a bit too
Boring, incoherent

I like the author from previous works, and I really wanted to like this book, but it’s all over the place. Fifty pages in and it’s all ramblings about how underrated and forgotten Musial has become, without any stories or stats as to why he should be remembered.
