good book but a few things off.....

I enjoyed reading this book thanks to the way it was descriptively written, like about stacey's father's day weekend in new york, and how they spent time at fire island where stacey, her dad and claudia are vacationing and where her boyfriend robert is vacationing at the same time there, but she keeps it a secret. Claudia seemed to be jealous of stacey spending too much time with robert though and kept questioning their friendship and they got into a fight. The baby sitters also came briefly for the trip and they made costumes for the fourth of july parade but it was a disaster and meanwhile stacey is getting all tangled up in her lies, but she's not the only one who lied, her dad was up to something too and keeping it from stacey. Maybe the book should have been called stacey and the big fat lies or something. I also enjoyed reading about claudia's beautiful photography of sandcastles she built and how she got some publicity for it on the little island.

Cool!

When Stacey makes a lie, it turns on another, then another. If the BSC finds out that she lies, Kristy will fire her!

it's cool

I'm not actually 11, but I was when this book came out. I was a huge BSC fanatic and I still read those books once in awhile. This book was good for the way it was descriptively written, but the plot was kind of silly. Stacey should have been a bit more honest, but she's at a stage where she wants to do things without asking permission for every little thing. Everyone in their teens must have told half-truths the way she did, it's common, but Claudia was eating her up for that and was acting like such a saint. and stacey's dad was just as sneaky as stacey, so it was dumb how he was mad at her. As for the fight between vanessa and haley, pointless!!! can't there be at least one book with no baby sitting mentioned?? i like reading about baby sitting, but it really wasn't necessary in this book.

A Good read for young preteens

I'm actually 19, and I used to be a big fan of the BSC when I was in my preteen years, and I came across this book the other day and it brought back memories. Stacey goes on vacation with her father and claudia, but they don't know she's really there because her boyfriend is vacationing at the same place. The only thing that wasn't necessary about this book was Mallory and Jessi working at a day camp back in Stoneybrook, that really wasn't interesting to read, pretty stupid actually and totally unrelated to the book. But nevertheless a good read.

Stacey's mess

This book is a really good book but it isn't the best. Stacey's dad tells her to pick a place to go on vacation to. She picks Davis Park because that's where her boyfriend is working at. She brings Claudia along. But then Stacey spends all her time with Robert and Claudia's mad. Then Kristy, Shannon, and Mary Anne arrive for the Fourth of July and Claudia gets them on her side. Now no one's talking to STacey. Can they ever be friends again? Read this book to find out.
