WHOOPS! STOP THERE - THIS IS A 5 PLUS TALE.

Amanda Bradshaw is on the run from her father who is trying to make some money by marrying her off to Lester Adam. Lester is in love with a saloon girl by the name of Polly O'Neil. Well, all three are on the run. Therein begins a fascinating story of how the two young women bond after Lester very inconsiderately dies. In the meantime Chance Doyer, 29, very disgruntled with his life and the death of his brother runs into Gus, Fred and Vern who are on their way to rob the Wells Fargo in Columbia. This is all happening in California. Needless to say the three get the drop on Chance and steal his horse, Cactus and his pearl handled gun. The girls end up in Springtown and soon after so do the three desperados with Chance not far behind. Oh, what happens next. Suddenly there are tales of hidden gold in this deserted town - strange happenings - and threats from Jack Quigley? Amanda and Polly band together to find whatever monies they can lay their hands on and Chance learns of the hidden gold. Polly lusts after Chance, she knows the way of a man and woman. Amanda wants gold for security and a trip to San Francisco? Neither woman trust Chance at first. Both are attracted, Chance wants to bed Amanda. And Jack is determined to keep Amanda. The hunt is on. What a great tale. There is substance to this story - and the mystery of how to outfox Jack. Then there is the tale of Emily that Chance stumbles onto. Finally a story that goes somewhere and not just a support to the hormone driven scenes. This is definitely a keeper. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED --M Even though Amanda's curiosity gets the better of her. She doesn't want to leave Springtown a virgin. Ha! Jack can't help there.
