essential to any spidey fan

I read this and I gotta say this has become my favorite spider-man comic book.

Amazing, Spectacular, and...uh...Friendly?

This comic adds some new life to the Spider-Man mythos. The character of Morlun is delightfully evil, and Peter's spirit-walk toward self-actualization would make Jung proud. A definite buy.

the evolution... of an arachnid

I'm a huge Spider-Man fan. I think what makes him so great is that he is just a man. Even with all of his powers, Peter Parker has to deal with everyday life, more so than in other comics. And here Spider-Man evolves. Into something more? I'm sure the Marvel writers will have more to do here. I expect great things in the future of one Peter Parker, Spider-Man.

Spiderman deadly transformation

In The Other spiderman has to make a choice, living with new spider's powers and old powers supersized, or be dead, and of course you know the answer. He fights with Morlun, an strange monster that had to kill every human with animal powers, he has to eat them. The story written by J.M Straczynski is clever, fun and many action. probably J.M Straczynski will become the first writer in The Marvel Universe. If you like Spiderman comics, this book have to be in your collection, and if you dont'n like Spiderman, then you will change your mind.

Excellent Story!

So maybe I'm a little biased because Spider-Man is my favorite hero, but I thought this story arc was superbly drawn, conceived, and written. It was definitely something I recommend ANY Spider-Man fan to read as it is truly a significant moment and very interesting as well. And don't forget the classic humor that keeps me stuck to the title. I must agree with the reviewer who said that to buy the softcover instead of the hardcover, but I want the hardcover to keep, so I'm willing to spend the extra money. I loved this set of issues and I think it's really cool that Marvel released it in hardcover. I know that I always had problems keeping standard softcover comic collections open to the right page without feeling like I would break the spine. Here's my advice. Try to read some of the story first, then decide if you want the hard or soft cover version.
