YOU CAN'T BEAT SOUTHERN LIVING. I AM AN AVID COOKBOOK COLLECTOR. THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST. I'VE TRIED SEVERAL RECIPES ALREADY AND THEY WERE GREAT. LOTS OF GOOD OLD FASHION RECIPES.

This book is outstanding and has many wonderful recipes in it. I especially love the black bottom cheese cake pie. As the other readers have noted, the pictures are great and the recipes are easy to make as you don't have to run all over town to find that speciel ingredient. I would highly recommend this book and would be great for a gift as well.

I have over 200 cookbooks from all over the world, but this is the best ever! It has so many simple recipes that call for ingredients that you can actually FIND at the store. I have had it about 3 weeks and have tried 9 dishes already. They all turned out GREAT! I recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn to cook or experts, or it would be a wonderful gift! The $23 price is well worth it.
