I picked up the first volume of Soul to Seoul not expecting much and ended up absolutely adoring it. It hits great middle ground- love stories and violence! I did feel that there was a LOT going on, but it only made me more excited for volume 2. The series is now up to #3 and I've begun to realize that it always leaves you wanting more... which, in this case, is not necessarily a good thing. The story wants to follow too many characters whose lives don't overlap much (if at all) past the first part of volume 1. You get invested in certain characters, then the story flops over to someone else. It's very much like a TV soap opera where you watch for a month before anything really happens. I rated this 4 stars purely for volume 1 and the great potential it showed! I hope some of the side stories start to get weeded out so we can start to actually get somewhere, or get more attached to the characters. Unfortunately, I'm already hooked so I'll have to ride this one out!
