Profane meets Sacred

This is a MUST-READ for anyone in search of a concrete spirituality in today's hectic world. I commend Ms.Heidish's in-depth bibliographical research on this engaging topic. Rather than seeing interruptions, delays and inconveniences as reasons to become enraged, the author challenges us to see them as "Gateways" to go within ourselves and deepen our awareness of the presence of God. Ms. Heidish's personal approach is an invitation to each of us to do the same. She has managed to meld the sacred and the profane. It can be done anywhere and at any time. It is a welcomed idea for the overworked who say that they have no time to reflect or pray in their daily lives. THANK YOU, Ms. Heidish! I have pruchased several copies of this book as gifts for family and friends! Sincerely, Marianne Sheehan

Peace in a Chaotic World

Finally, I have found a book that helps me connect to God in this chaotic and fast world! Soul and the City gave me much needed ideas and clues about relieving the sense of being alone in a large city. I have read many spiritual books, but this one was exactly what I needed. I look forward to more books by Marcy Heidish. She found a gentle way to put me back on track! Thank you, Ms. Heidish!

God is everywhere...

I was not sure what to expect when I began reading, Soul of the City. I was not sure I could connect with the theme. However, I soon discovered that we all live in a big city, for we all have times of chaos in our lives. I could relate to Marcy Heidish's message. Many times when I have heard a siren, I have stopped to pray. There are many times when I have felt the hustle and bustle of life pulling me down, and I have had to seek a quiet spot in the midst of all that is around me. Heidish purports true prayer, sincere prayer that comes out of our soul. She also expresses the need for sincere worship. Our Lord is everywhere, and we can worship anywhere. Christians will enjoy Soul of the City.
