Sophie and Sam: When to Say "Yes" and When to Say "No"

Awesome book. It is very well illustrated and my almost 3 year old LOVES it! There are some funny rhymes in it and the book has some very good principles in it that are positive and encouraging.

We have been reading this book to our daughter since she was 2 years old (a year ago) and she absolutely loves it! The illustrations are beautiful, but the most valuable aspect of this book are the lessons. Our daughter believes what the book says and she really wants to obey and follow what Sophie & Sam "teach". Great way to build good priciples in your child's heart. I love the book as a mom and get very excited to see our daughter wanting to hear it over and over! More importantly to hear her saying: Not good- Sophie & Sam say: Yes to Respect...or Yes to clean up...incredible!

This is such a good book! My friend borrowed my copy and then purchased one for her little girl. Very well put together!

This book is adorable. There are so many great lessons in one book. It was like the author was looking at my kids and wrote this book:) It is Bible based, but not in your face religious. My kids love it. I am going to buy one for my son's 4K teacher for her classroom. The only reason why I am giving it 4 stars, is the binding is easily coming apart. I am hoping I just received a defected one and others are fine. I like it so much that I am paying to have it rebound (or buying a new one, if the cost is too much).

Sophie and Sam is direct, adorable, appropriate for children as young as two years old. The messages so concisely told in poetry and beautifully illustrated with little animals that children relate to, teaches them important lessons that parents have trouble teaching with their words alone. Our two year old granddaughter pulls Sophie and Sam off her book shelf more times than any other and runs with it to her daddy or mommy asking them to read it to her. She returns to tell them gleefully, "I am sharing like Sophie and Sam". We are so impressed with the facial expressions and the body language that Becky has drawn into her characters. Our granddaughter can relate as easily to Sophie and Sam and their friends as she can to her favorite little stuffed dolls that she carries around with her throughout the day. Sophie and Sam teach her how to behave in a loving fashion with her cousin so that she feels happy when they play together, and so do their parents.
