A strong follow through with the success of the first one!

I read this on Kindle Unlimited and boy did I fly through it. I’m usually the kind of person who waits for book 2’s with bated breaths because my hopes get high and I find the author not delivering the way I want them too, BUT, this book gave me butterflies from begging to end! Emma Hamm does a wonderful job storytelling and writing complex characters. I found myself really impressed with how the author was able to use common tropes and break away from the stereotypes creating welcome bonding between the characters. Hamm also did such a stellar job of writing a character who’s identity wasn’t defined by their disability, and wrote the disability in a non-glorified, realistic way. I loved both books and am patiently waiting for the next!!

Wonderful representation of different handicaps, challenges and love

Why? Oh, lend me your ear! So get this. There is Anya with her spunk. Playing the game of the elite so they don't look twice at Alpha's pretty "songbird." During her plotting, enter Daios! Yes. He is a monster, but the cute kind. (Just go with it, k?) 16 feet tall (umm...long?) of Mer-man-eske grumpy soldier that just needs some TLC. This monster (I don't don't kind of him as that, but what else are we going to call it) romance is second in the Deep Waters Series by Emma Hamm. If you missed the first one- shame on you. Go fix that now, please. Looking forward to Maketes's turn 🌊
