More great patterns!

I am so excited to get this book! I have all the S & B books excpet the Happy Hooker since I don't crochet. This book is great. It has fun patterns and ideas. My boyfriend and I had fun looking through it together as he picked out things he would like. I'm looking forward to going yarn shopping so I can begin many new projects! Highly recommended!

Are you MAN enough!

Very few men want to knit and the few who do don't do it in public. Yet, if you are adventurous enough to do so, this book has sone nice (and some not so nice) articles that you could make. it is also projects that anyone can do for men's gifts. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. The variety of projects are in no way "grampa-y" or any other negative knitting related descriptor you can think of.

Great for my picky boyfriend

My boyfriend is the pickiest guy I know. He usually doesn't want me to make him anything and is wary of knitted or crocheted sweaters. But when I got this book he was the first one to look through it. I had to write a list of what he wanted me to make him! He really liked the tube socks, a lot of the sweaters, and the beer pillows. There are a lot of different designs in there for every man in your life. This book is definitely mostly knit patterns. There are only four crochet patterns. But I still recommend it!!

Get Knitting!

I am SO pleased with this book. While some of the projects are downright silly (the dead teddy bear springs to mind!) that is in keeping with the spirit of the Stitch 'n' Bitch empire and there's nothing wrong with goofy knitting. The majority, however, are spot on in terms of what the men in my family would actually wear. My teenage son, in particular, glanced over my shoulder and said "will you knit me that" on almost every other project. The section on choosing colors for men's sweaters, although very common sense, is advice I wish I had been given years (and many sweaters) ago. Live and learn. Although I would probably go back to more traditional pattern options when knitting for my husband, those aren't the kind of sweaters my sons are willing to wear. If you like the Stitch n Bitch style, and have "hip" guys to knit for, this book is a must.

Knitting for the guys

I am really pleased with Son of Stitch 'n' Bitch. The men in my family (husband, three young adult sons and daughter's boyfriend) all had no trouble finding things they liked in the book for me to knit. The half-pipe hat was especially popular, but my oldest son also liked a lot of the sweaters. There is something in there for almost any guy - you just need to find a color that he likes to knit it in!
