Ecuadorian-American Filomena Buscarsela left the New York Police Department to work for the Environmental Action Foundation. However, to her chagrin, she finds the non-profit organization appearing more corrupt than her previous employment. The story line is crisp as Filomena relentlessly works the streets. The northern Manhattan neighborhood of Washington Heights comes alive, teeming with excitement and danger.
