A Great Book Of company facts.

I just love this book and if you'd ever wondered who was the person that started that name brand or company then you'll love this book. it's a good read. Highly Recommended.

Great . . .The true stories behind the corporate myths!

I found Gelbert's book to be a fascinating read. He obviously did his research, but also added an enriching human element to tell the story of companies that are today a part of the American fabric. I think that this book will serve as inspiration to many entrepreneurs as well as young companies going through growing pains. I look forward to Gelbert's next book with anticipation!

A great read, very inspirational!

No shortcuts were taken in reasearch here - Gelbert has somehow synthsized massive amounts of information to tell us the real, human life stories of the most successful business people of our time. Quite interesting!

Great inspiration for a new business owner!

The short, to-the-point stories of America's greatest business people are a great source of inspiration to me. I've just started two companies, on a shoestring and no experience, but with great determination. Doug Gelbert does a wonderful job bringing to life the real people behind the brand name products we all use and enjoy. He takes you behind the scenes with rich examples of the American entrepenurial spirit. Great stories to share in any setting that people love to hear. I hope Gelbert writes a sequel. Everyone who is struggling to never give up needs to read this book.

great bathroom read!

Fascinating genesis of the brand names we all know...these stories will stay with you for weeks and you'll find yourself bringing them up as examples in all sorts of everyday conversations...Hertz, Avis, Buick, Chevrolet, Dole, Welch's, Hershey's, Cadbury - I can't pick my favorite...great, great read...thank you author for writing it
