This is the book my Mom used to explain how babies were born for both my younger brother and I and my friends who have children have since used it to explain to their children. This is a wonderful resource for all parents who are struggling to explain where babies come from to young children.
Great book!

My daughter read it when she was 5. Although she thought there were "yucky" parts (the pages describing intercourse) she reread it to her friends omiting the yucky parts because she thought the pregnancy and birth parts were just great. It's the type of book I'd suggest for parents who want to put the whole "sex experience" in the context of a loving family relationship. If you loved "Where did I come from" you probably won't like this book. If you thought "where..." was not "serious" enough, you'll probably like this one a lot.
Explains how a baby is concieved and born.. ages 7+

I recieved this book when I was 8. My mom had no clue how to tell me the birds and the bees. I opened the book and read it. I was neither embarrassed by the contents or shocked. I do suggest reading it before your child, and going over the book with them. I don't think toddlers or preschoolers would be ready for this book. As it does describe the sexual organs and how it takes a mommy and a daddy to make a baby. It's not a gory porn book, nor does it go into explict detail. It just gives the facts and is told how a child could handle it.
Sensitively explains conception and birth

This is a really great aid in explaining to a child how they were born or how a new sibling who is on the way will be born. The illustrations and text are sensitive to the age group recommended.
