Monsters come in all forms

This book contains the most violent, brutal, hair raising story I have ever read to date. From the very start this story grabs hold and doesnt let go until the very end.It lived up to its reputation and reviews 100%in my opinion and the ending was a perfect fit.Adam and Eric have written a masterpiece of a horror story with two of the most ruthless characters ever to come to life on the pages of horror fiction.Best money I have spent on a book in along time.

A Brilliant Novel...Not for the weak of heart!

This is definitely not a novel for the weak of stomach; even I, a tried and true horror fan, had a hard time with many of the passages due to their graphic content. However, I persevered, resisting the urge to shut the book and run to the bathroom to wretch, because of how well the novel is written. It's amazing to me that such a psychotic story could be so intelligently written, but Enck and Huber have accomplished this feat. There is a certain societal awareness about the piece that makes it very fitting for the age we are struggling to live in. Indeed if I were to sum up the book in one phrase it would have to be "Jack the Ripper meets American Psycho in a basement bondage dungeon". This is definitely a keystone piece of avante garde literature for the 21st century. If you can handle it, read it!

Life itself is the horror story

I applaud the authors disregard for censorship. They wanted to write a sexually and brutally graphic novel that is not for the faint of heart. They succeed brilliantly. The story evolves with several horrific twists and turns that make us realize that life itself is the horror story... not the fiction that we make up. After you buy and read this book, put in on your shelf between AMERICAN PSYCHO and NATURAL BORN KILLERS. This is where it belongs

Sick, Twisted, and a very good read!

I have read SNUFF. Let me say this...it is as brutal as you have all heard that it is. It's harsh, it's gory, it's sick and very twisted. But...the main thing that I think everyone should look at and think about is one simple thing. If you strip away all of the blood, all of the gore and sick acts that happen in this book when one man decides to take his fantasies down a dark and insane path of pain and suffering, do you still have a story here? The answer is yes. Eric Enck and Adam Huber have written a tale that shows no matter how many pretend monsters horror writers may write about, the one monster called 'man' will always be the one to fear the most. Is this book for everyone? No...of course not. But if you dare decide to try to see what a madman's mind could be like, then please read this book. You will be entertained and sickened at the same time. I admire both Eric and Adam for having the guts to want to take people on this little insane ride called SNUFF. I for one wish them the best of luck with it.

Not a bedtime story!

Holy Mercy Sakes!! Those were my very first words after reading the last sentense of the novel Snuff while my mouth gaped open! Unfreaking believable! Never have I been this shocked in all of my reading life! I guess it was inevitable though. Jack and Mikey were a team now, nothing really mattered besides making DVD's and the large amounts of cash brought in. Hardcore pornography and BDSM were frills and lace compared to the horrible mutilation during sex that Mikey and Jack starred in. Mikey was usually the main "abuser" but in some instances Jack was featured in the films as well. Jack used to be in the film industry, but now he was all washed up. During the novel he reflects on his childhood, the abuse, sexual encounters, and the murders after sexual mutilation. Jack was always sick minded, demented even, he couldn't get it up unless blood and pain were involved. The videos were made according to the "customers" specifications and one customer would get EXACTLY what he requested, the girl not only looked like his daughter, it was her! The DVD that he paid 30,000 for cost him his daughter's life, as well as the life of his wife once she discovered the movie carelessly left out by her husband. Bill Corwin would make "John" pay...a sale gone wrong could be the last film....... (Nope I am not going to reveal anymore, I have written this review as cleanly as possible as there are YA readers that stop by my blog from time to time, but let me tell you, the scenes described in this book are beyond graphic, blood, sexual molestation, rape, and sickness are displayed on each and every page! This is an amazing horror novel, but if you're faint of heart I don't know if you could physically read this novel, it was very hard for me.) OH MY MY, putting Eric Enck and Adam Huber together can sure gross a girl out! Not that they're unattractive men mind you, but because their literary work is grotesque in all the right places. They bring a new type of horror to the table and believe me, you will not want to have a snack while reading this book, NO WAY! Mr. Enck and Mr. Huber make a great team, blending blood, gore, a great horror story, and a totally SHOCKING ending together along with their minds to create Snuff. I think the horror industry should give these guys a medal! 5 Bleeding Hearts [...]
