Cool!

A snow blizzard hits Stoneybrook and the townspeople have to stay inside their homes. What will happen when Stacey and her mom are buried in the snow?

Meagan's review

Yes I did like this book because I have almost read the whole series and these are my favorite books because I do a lot of babysitting for my sisters and I like hearing about other people babysitting experiences. It is about what everybody was doing at the time of the blizzard. Stacey and her mom got stranded in the car in the middle of a parking lot until Mr.Schiavone came and took them to his house and Stacey got to play with Manson. Mary-Anne spent the night with all 8 of the Pike kids. Mallory's mom was at a party at home the kids hardly had any food so when the power went out they ate everything in the freezer that would go bad including the ice cream. Jessi was stuck at her ballet school because none of the parents could get through and Quint who Jessi is going with to the Winter Wonderland Dance with just got into Stanford by train he walked the whole way to Jessi's ballet school in the cold. Jessi and Quint got to help all the teachers at the ballet school put the little kids to bed. Kristy was at her own house and Karen lost Emily-Michelle her pet rat. Dawn and her mom went to pick Jeff up from the airport, but his plane had been rerouted to Washington DC because of the storm. Dawn and her mom spent the night at the airport because the roads were so bad and the airport had closed. Everybody that was at the airport they spent most of the night going to the snack bars that were open. All the baby sitters have been talking about the Winter Wonderland dance and who they're going with. I think that anybody will like this book.

How much did I love this book?

...so much that it fell apart since I read it so many times. (I was very upset when this happened.) Bart gets stuck at Kristy's, which makes her nervous; Mal and Mary Anne are stranded at the Pike's; Jessi and her New York boyfriend are at her ballet school; Dawn's at the airport; Claud's baby-sitting the Perkins girls and Stacey and her mother are trapped in the middle of nowhere. It's one of the best super specials, a must-read for any BSC fan.

"All the Baby-sitters wanted was a little snow..."

In reaction to a blizzard that hits Stoneybrook, Connecticut, the seven BSC members--with the guidance of Kristy Thomas--decide to write about their separate blizzard experiences in a group article for 'The Stoneybrook News.' "Snowbound" is the result of that.During the blizzard, everyone gets stranded someplace overnight--Jessi Ramsey at her ballet school; Mallory Pike and Mary Anne Spier at Mal's house, while baby-sitting the Pike kids; Stacey McGill and her mother in their car alongside a deserted road; Kristy Thomas and her boyfriend, Bart, at her house; Claudia Kishi at the Perkinses' (her baby-sitting clients); and Dawn Schafer and her mother at the airport. While most of them are without power and the use of phones, they're relatively safe compared to Stacey, who is stranded in a car with no heat and gas--and no possible way of getting help if her diabetes gets out of hand. What I liked the most about "Snowbound"--as well as every other Super Special--is that the point of view changes with each new chapter. Plus the journal entries at the beginning of each chapter are a nice touch. This is a great Super Special addition to the Baby-sitters Club series. BSC fans should like this one, particularly 8 to 12-year-old readers who like snow adventures set during the winter holidays. If you've already read and enjoyed "Snowbound," then you'll probably like "Super Special #3: Baby-sitters' Winter Vacation" as well.

One of the best super specials

Snowbound! was one of the best BSC super specials. Unlike some, like #13 and #15, this book is pretty realistic. I recommend you read this, you won't regret it!
