In this moving sequel to Hicks' bestseller, Coming Home, Toni is determined to let God help her overcome her past--but can she get beyond the guilt and feel worthy of love again? This description may be from another edition of this product.
Like the author, Barbara Jean Hicks, I was a little skeptical that I could warm up to a character who was so different (or so I thought) from me. But as I read, I found myself being drawn deeper and deeper into Tony and Clark's lives. The parts I enjoyed the most were the sermons by Chappie. They made me think and they brought me to an acceptance of people with addictions and an acceptance of myself with all my human flaws. My first thought after reading this book was to immediately pass it on to someone else. This is a powerful book that can lead to healing in so many areas of our lives. Thanks Barbara Jean Hicks for writing this novel. And thanks to Multnomah in general for all of your Pacific Palisades romances which address real life issues in a spiritual way.Sincerely,Mary
