-- Prime North American smallmouth waters.-- Full of facts on smallmouth bass.-- Tips from the country's top smallmouth anglers. This description may be from another edition of this product.
If you have spent any time recently reading books on fishing you will have experienced chapters on such interesting items as "Water Temperature and Barometer Pressure at 9:00 a.m." This type of information is completely useless to 90% of all fishermen but the publishers appear to be under the belief that the more obscure and inane the information presented to the reader...the better the book. Thankfully, books like Smallmouth Bass by Dick Sternberg are still available. The book takes a practical approach and provides a wealth of information irrespective if you are a fly fisherman, lake fisherman or just want to learn more about one of North America's most popular gamefish. I have loaned this book to several avid smallmouth bass fishermen and the response has been very positive. I have yet to hear anyone say they did not learn something and the combination of pictures, diagrams and text make for a wonderful read. If you can find the book pick one up for yourself and one for a friend. JD
