Authors Anthony and David are really good at spine-tingling action that's perfect for the 9-12 year old group. But even in scary mode, humor, morality and social good remain part of the focus. Here in this fantasy setting, magic seems to represent creative thinking guided by knowledge and purpose. Those are things parents and grandparents need to know. What kids should know is that Skull in a Birdcage can whisk the reader away to an exciting world where unusual things happen to other kids almost like themselves. Fun voices, unique "sounds", maps to guide the adventurer, chants and poems that sing, and action, action, action abound. Your kids will feel part of the story and discover truths that should make all adults cheer. I'm not sure only a five-star rating will remain sufficient. These Knightscares adventures just keep getting better. Be sure your kids read what these authors offer.
