I was surprised at the negative reviews here, so I am posting my own to balance it out. It is true that this book does not have a new storyline; it borrows from the other books and has a matching-type game with certain objects from the story (e.g. gato tut, a bean, a sombrero) in both English and Spanish. This is definitely a game for the younger set, but my above-average 5-year old and her friends still find it entertaining. Younger kids LOVE repetition and books they can recognize/predict. I was bored with it quickly, but I am keeping in mind this book is not for me. Not our favorite Skippyjon Jones book of all time of course, but it is a fun diversion. BOTTOM LINE: At least in my house, it entertains the person it was meant to entertain, and is something she can look at herself without needing me to read it to her. When she does want me to, it isn't very long but does allow more interaction than straight reading and also introduces some Spanish vocabulary.
