Book Overview

A novel based on the hit television series created by Chris Carter

It's a fairly common, if ghoulish, procedure: the "harvesting" of skin from corpses for temporary use on emergency burn victims until their own grafts are ready. But when a team of moonlighting medical students accidentally takes skin from the wrong donor, the results are catastrophic: a New York City hospital ward is destroyed in a psychotic bloodbath, and an elderly professor,...

I have really enjoyed this book many times over.

"Skin" is a very good novel to read if you are interested in medicine. It is mainly based on skin transplantation, but there are some other interesting medical facts in this book. I think that it is definately my favorite X-Files book yet. I thouroughly enjoyed reading it several times over.

Excellent non-stop reading!!

I had to wait for over a year for my local library to get Skin on it's shelves; it was well worth the wait. I finished it within 3 days, maybe soner if I could find any other time to read besides night. This book is recommended for all people, whether you are an x files fan or not!!

GREAT BOOK!!!!!!

This is the greatest book I have ever read! Non-stop action through the whole thing. I couldn't put it down! I highly recomend this book even if you are not an X-files fan.

A must read for all X-Files fans

This by far is the best X-Files novel written to date. It is a classic "monster-of-the-week" that had me sitting on the edge of my seat. The story is well written and consistent with several X-Files themes. The characterizations of "leaps in logic" Mulder and "skeptical" Scully were right on the mark. While I would have liked a little more "shippiness," the tale is true to Mulder and Scully's relationship - the subtle touches, private conversations, and concern for each other are naturally integrated into the plot. It is clear that Ben Mexrich is an advid fan and devoted follower of the show.Chris Carter - let this man write an episode!

You have to read this book !

In Germany (where I'm from) you can already buy this book. I can only tell you: Buy it! It's great! At the beginning it's a bit boring but than it becomes better and better and better ... A great X-Files novel!
