Sketchbook Confidential: Secrets from the Private Sketches of Over 40 Master Artists

This book is about artists who use sketching as a tool toward their bigger paintings. It is not a celebration at all of sketching in general. The emphasis is about the artists using the sketch. Few of them appeared to value the sketch in and of itself, with exceptions: Jean Pederson or Dan Barrett. What I am more interested in is a celebration of the sketchbook (even if not IN a sketchbook per se). That said, the book is laid out nicely, good imagery of some of their sketches, with commentary by the artists.
