There is a truth greater than all the losses and sorrows of life. And it can be discovered in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. In Six Hours One Friday, Max Lucado delves into the meaning of Jesus' last hours on the cross. Through his death, your life has purpose and meaning. You are forgiven and loved by a Savior who died for you. And an empty tomb proclaims that death does not have the final word. "Peace where there should be pain. Confidence in the midst of crisis. Hope defying despair. Does death have the last word? I can see Jesus wink as he gives the answer, Not on your life." Book jacket.
anything written my max lucado gets the same exact rating from me. I have read seven of his books and, in all of them, he spiritually hits it out of the park. obviously.... a spirit led man, who is kind enough to share it all with us.
Life Altering...

I've not read many religious books and I've never written a review. I found this book to be "life altering". With tears in my eyes I wish to thank Max Lucado for reaching out to me and helping me onto the right path. I will be reading his other books to nurish my soul and keep me moving in the right direction. I reccomend this book to anyone and everyone. It will leave you feeling loved, grateful and at peace. I can now face the death of my mother in the next few months with the assured knowledge that she has SO MUCH to look forward to and that we WILL be together again.

I loved this book and didn't want to put it down as I read it. I was so disappointed when I was done with the book. Max Lucado has a way of reaching people as he writes. It's almost like he is talking to you - a friend. You can FEEL his words and HEAR his words. I enjoyed this book very much.
A Book To Read...Again and Again

With most books, you read them, they challenge you or entertain you. You finish the book, put it your book case or donate it to a library. Not with "Six Hours One Friday". I purchased this book when it was initially published and read it with more eagerness, more reverence with every turn of a page. Since then, I have re-read it many, many times. It is a part of my permanent library. The highlight of my spiritual year is Easter. In humble preparation, every Good Friday I take my "Six Hours One Friday" and go to a place of solitude in a park with a picnic lunch, and for 3 hours (noon to 3PM) read once again what Jesus did for me! There are no words to describe this intense spiritual event. Always 'new', always personally meaningful, always incredibly humbling. You'll read "Six Hours One Friday" again and again
Absolute Inspiration

I have been a christian for over 25 years and after reading "Six Hours One Friday" by Max Lucado, I was deeply inspired by the decision I had made all those years ago. There is not enough time in the human life to express the emotion, feelings, love and true desires we all have time and time again, however, by walking our way through some of the chapters of this work, it is easy to see how we are watched over and protected by our Lord as He ministers in our lives. I was especially impressed by chapters 7 & 11 in this book. I have read the entire book several times, but I confess, I continually return to these two chapters to regain strength for life. God has truly blessed the pen of Max Lucado.
