I have thoroughly enjoyed Chole's book, as I have her other books as well. She brings out truths with pictures that make it easy to think about throughout the day, bringing encouragement and inspiration when it is needed most. This is a great addition to my devotional reading, and it leaves me wanting more, as I read more than one chapter at a time.

Written by Alicia Britt Chole, Sitting in God's Sunshine...Resting in His Love gently encourages readers to rediscover what it truly means to find rest in the Spirit of God. The stress of life can be overwhelming: it drains the body, mind, and soul. A good night's rest can replenish the body and mind, but the only cure for a tired soul is God's presence. As Chole illustrates, submitting to God's will and resting in His presence leads to a refreshed soul and replenished emotions. Chole uses applicable, easy-to-understand illustrations to explain her main points. Years of serving the Lord through writing, public speaking, and study of the Word, have given her precious insight in a variety of ways in which God cares for His children. Chole writes, "One remedy alone exists that can refresh a weary spirit. Rich cream can relieve dry hands and a hot bath can comfort aching bones, but only the God who created us can breathe new life into the depths of our being. There are no substitutes for His Presence." Chole draws direct quotations from the Bible as evidence, explaining how they relate to her theme for each chapter. Though only 222 pages long, this little book is a delightful read! Sitting in God's Sunshine is written in clear, practical language with short, straightforward chapters.
