Sit! Stay! Speak!

This was the first book I have read by this author .And i must say i Loved, loved, loved this book. So much that i could not put it down.The author does an amazing job of making the characters come to life and pulling you into this story. You will embark on the crazy, funny, heartwarming and emotional journey with Addie as she moves to Arkansas from Chicago . I laughed and read parts of the book to my husband that was so funny. Addie being from the North did not know what alot of the southern sayings and words ment. Sit! Stay! Speak! is a page Turner that will take you on quite a ride. I really enjoy stories with animals in them, especially dogs. It is just sad that it involved illegal dog fighting and all the suffering this pit bull has been through. And he is just a puppy. Addie finds him in a trash bag by the river left to die. His ear has been half ripped off , covered in bites , cuts and even been shot. How someone could use such a sweet small baby as bait for other dogs is just horrific. Being an animal lover who has rescued alot of dogs and cats there were a few parts that were hard to read .Sadley I know that things described in this book truly do happen and that sickens me. We have a dog now that was used as a bait dog and it has been a long hard road with her. But she has made progress.Overall this was a good book and a emotional read. I laughed and cried. This book has it all romance , love , loss, mystery , a dog , and adventures . So whats not to like. This book will go in my keep pile and i will be reading it quite alot.
